Powell Priorities

  1. Evangelistic Expansion - purposefully planting churches, producing disciples, practicing Christian principles and participating in perpetual PRAYER

    Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit (Matthew 28:19)

    Our Actions and Commitments:

    • Each Zionite engages in personal devotions including daily Bible reading and prayer; participate in daily corporate prayer at 7:00 am EST and 7:00 am PST @ (667) 776-9417
    • Each church seeks to produce one disciple per month for the next six months
    • Each Annual Conference in every episcopal district plants at least one church over the next six months

  2. Ecumenical Effectiveness – enhancing collaborative efforts among communions and denominations aimed at achieving the goal of the high priestly prayer that we might be one so that the world may believe

    ... that all of them may be one, Father, just as you are in me and I am in you. May they also be in us so that the world may believe that you have sent me. - (John 17: 21)

    Our Actions and Commitments:

    • Each pastor forms a relationship with a ministry or clergy person of a different denomination
    • Each church establishes a collaborative relationship with a church from another denomination
    • Each annual conference becomes actively involved in an ecumenical body such as a state council of churches

  3. Environmental Engagement - taking seriously our responsibility for being custodian of God’s creation to restore ecological balance

    And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth. (Genesis 1:26)

    Our Actions and Commitments:

    • Each Zionite commits to eliminating plastic pollution and change to using paper products (bags, straws and wooden utensils, etc.)
    • Each church celebrate the Sunday before or after “Earth Day April 22” (Visit www.earthdaysunday.org for details);

  4. Economic Equity - proactively building generational wealth for both individuals, institutions, and communities

    But remember the LORD your God, for it is he who gives you the ability to produce wealth, and so confirms his covenant, which he swore to your ancestors, as it is today.(Deuteronomy 8: 18)

    Our Actions and Commitments:

    • Each Zionite commits to the biblical principle and practice of tithing to the local church
    • Each church commits to becoming a 100% tithing congregation and tithe to the annual conference which will address financial literacy for wealth creation
    • Each of us collectively joins in the acquisition of our own nationally chartered bank with an asset base of a minimum of three billion dollars
