Who We Are

Dare 2 Believe

The word of God is clear in the assertion and affirmation,"...all things are possible, if you only BELIEVE!" There is a further confirmation, "in order to come to God, you must BELIEVE. He exists and He rewards those who diligently seek Him." In the WED, we base who we are and all we attempt on the premise that regardless of one’s plight, predicament or problems, BELIEF in God can and will turn things around. We BELIEVE in the manifestation of the spiritual gifts, such as the laying on hands and the anointing with oil. We have witnesses to attest if you BELIEVE, God can deliver the addicted, heal any sickness, restore any broken relationship and save any soul.

If you BELIEVE, God will fix the situation for you. In Mark 9, when the father brings his son sick son to Jesus' disciples for healing, they were unable to help him. However, when Jesus came on the scene, the man gave Him an account of the problem and asked for help. In response, Jesus tells him, "all things are possible if he only believes." The father confessed his belief and immediately the boy was healed. Your help is here when you, DARE TO BELIEVE!!

A Praise Report to Share - By Pamela Ethridge

Hello members of the Western Episcopal District,

I am Pamela Etheridge, a member of the Oregon Washington Annual Conference, Cascade District where the Rt. Rev. Staccato Powell is my Presiding Prelate.

I have suffered with a back condition for over 20 years. On August 22, 2018 I finally relented to having back surgery to relieve this pain. For a total of three days I was totally without pain and then the pain returned with a vengeance.

On February 2, 2019 Bishop Staccato Powell came to the Oregon Washington Conference to conduct our 2nd Check-up Meeting of the conference year. When the business session was completed we had a healing service. I would like to add right here that Bishop Powell has been blessed with the gift of laying of hands on individuals through our Lord and Savior and being able to heal for those who believe.

Our motto in this district is Dare2Believe.

I originally had not planned to go for prayer on this day because I was trying to remain still because of the pain, but God said otherwise.

As I walked to the altar I already knew that I was going to ask God to relieve the pain in my back. As Bishop Powell approached me I started praying and asking God to please remove the pain from my back. Once the Bishop laid hands on me and I went down to the floor I felt a surge of energy go through my lower back. Remember this is a 20+ year condition that I’ve had. As the two gentlemen who were assisting the Bishop lifted me off the floor I walked back to my seat totally out of pain. I have not used my walking cane since the evening of February 1, 2019 and have had no pain since February 2, 2019. This means I have walked totally pain-free for one full week now and I owe it all to God.

My surgeon now wants to do a Myelogram on my back. For those who don’t know what this is, it’s a procedure where dye is injected into the site and an x-ray is taken to try and find out exactly what the problem is. This procedure has not been scheduled and I cannot wait to schedule it because when the doctor looks at the x-ray and says there’s no problem and questions what happen I’ll be able to shout and say hallelujah Jesus happened.

The motto in this district truly is correct if you just Dare2Believe God will do it. If he can do it for me, I know He can do it for you so just Dare2Believe.

Blessings to you all!
