Reverend Grayelin Lee Young was born and raised in San Francisco, Ca. Grayelin Lee Young was ordained a minister in the early 80’s and received his first pastoral appointment from the late Bishop Clarence Carr to serve at Knox Chapel A.M.E. Zion Church in Madera, CA. He currently serves as pastor of Stewart Chapel A.M.E. Zion Church in Redwood City, CA, under the leadership of Bishop Staccato Powell.

A retired government employee, Grayelin Young has mentored many at risk teenagers and facilitated Bible studies for incarcerated adults. He received a Master of Arts degree from Sacramento State University while working as an intern for the State of California. He is a recipient of ABC KSBW-8 Jefferson Award for community service and 1000 Mothers to Prevent Violence “Pastor of the Year” Award. Grayelin is married to Anita, a proud parent of Grayelin, Jr., and Aladrianne, and a loving son of Rev. Henry and Mrs. Pearlie Young- Rainer.
