Later, he moved and was reared in his mother’s home. Rev. Henderson is a graduate of Canton High School of Canton, Mississippi. He earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Religion from Mt. Olive College (Now Mt. Olive University) Mount Olive 06’, North Carolina and a Master of Divinity Degree from Hood Theological Seminary 09’, in Salisbury, North Carolina. Currently Enrolled at Payne Theological Seminary for Doctor Of Ministry in Transformative Preaching.
Rev. Henderson preached his trial sermon in September 3,1995 at The St. Thomas A.M.E. Zion Church in Norfolk, Virginia. In November 2001, he was ordained a Deacon in the African Methodist Episcopal Zion Church. One year later, he received his Elder ordination. Rev. Henderson former pastorates include: St. Matthews Trenton,NC 2000-2004, ST. Mark Whiteville,NC 2004-2006, Mt. Lebanon Elizabeth City 2006-2013, Hood Temple Richmond, VA 2013-2017, Currently Rev. Henderson is the pastor of Spottswood A.M.E. Zion Church Denver,CO. Rev. Henderson is the Father of 4 wonderful children Courtney, Tony “TJ”, Ebony, and Timothy their ages are 21,18,13, and 7 respectively. Rev. Henderson married the former Evongeline Melson in July 19, 1997. Rev. Henderson has been involved in several civic and community activities. Currently serving as the President of the National Alumni Association for Hood Theological Seminary. A former Elizabeth City Housing Authority Commissioner. He is a member of the Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Incorporated.
