Rev. Berneice Jones

She brings a message of hope and encouragement for women and men in all walks of life, utilizing her education ministering to the hurting and broken-hearted providing youth and married couples with free Christian counseling services. She has one son and one daughter, and two twin granddaughters. She enjoys teaching, cooking and spending time with her family, friends and church family. Her motto is “If you can use anyone, Lord use me.”

In 2001, Bishop Clarence Carr appointed the Rev. C. Berneice Jones to Pastor the New Life AME Zion in Pomona, California under the Missionary Rule. She later received her Deacon’s and Elder’s ordination. In June 2004, Bishop Roy Holmes appointed Rev. Jones to Shiloh AME Zion Church, Monrovia, Ca, where she served as Pastor until June 2013. Presently she pastors the Greater New Life AME Zion Church in Fontana, California, where Bishop Staccato Powell sent her to plant a church. The inaugural service was February 26, 2017. In June 2017, The Rev. C. Berneice Jones was appointed to the office of Presiding Elder of the San Diego District. The year 2018 marks Presiding Elder Jones; 22nd year in ministry.

Presiding Elder Jones attended South Illinois University, Immaculate Heart College and Ministerial Training Institute (M.T.I.) in Los Angeles, California; where she received her Bachelor’s Degree in Christian Counseling and her Master’s Degree in Theology.
